BIO

Artist Katherine Turczan’s artistic practice spans over 30 years. Her photographs explore portraits, family history, and political monuments in post-communist Ukraine. Katherine’s work has been exhibited and collected by major museums worldwide. Including the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, Fulbright, and the Bush Foundation. Katherine has taught for 30 years, including at Stanford University, CA, University of Minnesota, MN, and at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She received her BFA from Cooper Union and her MFA from Yale University.
